The House
Cut into the side of the hill, Case Isadora cave house is a tranquil piece of Andalusian history. With far-reaching views and a private setting, just 6 km from the sea, it is the perfect place for a short break or longer holiday.
Our holiday rental is the last house on the track, facing away from the small hamlet of Grima. It has a very private feel and far reaching views. There are no bars or shops in our tiny village, but we are a short drive from smaller or larger supermarkets. Our favourite cave restaurant is in the next village.
We have a good phone and Wifi signal, making it easy to stay connected. We are also just a short drive to thriving coastal resorts, so you can easily access bars, restaurants and enjoy water sports or other attractions, as well as miles of open coastline for those who want to holiday at a more gentle pace.
From the house you can walk for miles in every direction. There is so much wild life; from visits from our friendly house geckos to the occasional chameleon. The birdlife is wonderful here, at night the milky way stretches across the sky with the background sound of cicadas. Follow the riverbed in front of the house and you will be surrounded by frog song in the evenings. Depending on the time of year you may see starlings circling as they settle to roost. Walk a little further and you will find sculptures made by our artist neighbours. It is a fabulous place to re-connect with nature and switch off.
The gardens are steep, giving beautiful views, but please note that there is a short steep hill from the parking place to the house, possibly making access difficult for someone with reduced mobility.
